This term Year 1 have been learning about various types of homes. So far we have sorted animals into groups such as mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects or humans. We then thought about where different animals and people live. For homework the children were asked to be creative and transform a shoebox into a home. On Monday 10th June 2019 the eco committee and Mrs Pollock showed two Inspectors around the school and its' grounds. They had to "sell" the amazing work, to the inspectors, that the teachers and pupils do within the school involving the eco topics eg litter picking, composting, recycling , sustrans, Roots of Empathy and growing plants. The eco committee did a wonderful job explaining everything and we were awarded our third green flag with recommendations.
