On Friday, the children in Mr Campbell's class were treated to a workshop from the Waterside Theatre Company. We enjoyed talking and listening to a local author called Robert Campbell and a local illustrator called Zoe.

The boys and girls had a great day doing several workshops. Check out the Waterside Theatre in on Instagram, to see the cool activities we took part in. We heard about the travels of captain Timmy and we used our drawing skills to make illustrations for different parts of the book.

Check out the pictures to see how much fun we had!!

In Numeracy we’ve been making the Bee-Bot move by giving them commands. The year 1 children were using words like forwards and backwards while the year 2 children were trying to use left and right turns. This was so much fun!

As you know, we’ve been learning about Burns night. Yesterday Samantha invited us to watch her make shortbread which is a traditional food from Scotland. Some of the children wanted to taste the shortbread, we only got a photo of the leftovers unfortunately! This was a much tastier option that trying haggis we guessed! Thanks to Samantha for the excellent baking demonstration and for the tasty shortbread. 😊
