A Big Explosion!
15th May 2018
As part of our Explorer's topic this term, year 5/6 have been doing lots of work around volcanoes. In science, we carried out an experiment to investigate which liquid would help us to create the biggest 'explosion' to replicate a volcano erupting. We found out that vinegar mixed with baking soda created the biggest reaction, then orange juice and finally coke had the smallest reaction. We then went on to make our own volcanoes using salt dough and painted them. Finally we erupted our volcanoes using what we had learnt in science. Have a look!
