On Monday 10th June 2019 the eco committee and Mrs Pollock showed two Inspectors around the school and its' grounds.
They had to "sell" the amazing work, to the inspectors, that the teachers and pupils do within the school involving the eco topics eg litter picking, composting, recycling , sustrans, Roots of Empathy and growing plants.
The eco committee did a wonderful job explaining everything and we were awarded our third green flag with recommendations.

P2/3 enjoyed a visit from Environmentalist Lynn Greer who talked to us about different forest animals and how they hibernate for the winter. Did you know that bats wrap themselves up in their wings to keep warm and hibernate in trees? Hedgehogs snuggle up in a ball in the autumn leaves to hibernate. Their hearts only beat twice a minute when in hibernation and they wake up in Spring. We enjoyed making our own leaf crowns. Have a look!
