We explored some of our heart words today and done some fun activities to help us learn them.  We looked at the tricky part of each word and placed love hearts above them, we made up silly sentences with our heart words in them and we went outside to chalk our words in the playground.

P5 really enjoyed this workshop today.

iSmart is an interactive presentation that took P5 on a journey through the digital world and aims to help them to make smart and safe choices online.

The presentation encouraged pupils to use and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate tricky situations that they may come across online. It also helped them develop language so they can describe how they operate in the online world. Pupils were encouraged to reflect on how digital platforms affect the rest of the world and to consider how they can make this impact a positive one in their lives.

Year 5/6 have had a lot of fun over the past few weeks making Viking shields and swords. Once created, pupils were able to write instructions on how they make their pieces in Literacy, before having a mock up ‘Viking raid’. I’m sure you’ll agree that we have some angry looking Vikings in our class!!

Y5/6 have really been enjoying our weekly sessions with Chris.

This programme aims to educate our children on the importance of making healthier food choices and creating active habits.

This week, Chris taught us all about the different food groups and how much we should be eating of each one.  He also had a look in some of our lunchboxes to check we weren’t eating too many sugary foods! He was very impressed with our healthy lunches.

After each lesson, the boys and girls love getting outside to play some football with Chris.
