Today the Year 4’s took part in their first session of Shared Education. This week we had an amazing teacher called Rois and she got all the children from Artigarvan PS, St Mary’s PS and Bready Jubilee PS engaged in drama and singing. We took part in some games at he start of the session, to get to know other students from the other schools. By the end of the session we were all singing together as one big choir.
These shared education sessions will be happening every Tuesday until Easter. Next week we have a session from FlipStarz who will lead our group in modern dance.
Today we celebrated all our achievements over the past 8 weeks. Our parents and grown ups came to watch all three dances. We had the fabulous Amber from Flipstarz, who taught us modern dancing. We had Mr McCrystall who taught us Irish dancing and Becky who taught us our Highland Dancing. The children have worked so hard and the dances they have done are absolutely amazing. Today we had Becki and Mr McCrystal taking our children for highland and Irish dancing. We learned several new dances and we are starting to build towards our final dance.
This week we focused on two different types of dancing. We looked at modern dance and highland dancing. We tried different elements of each dance style and started to create a small dance routine. We had loads of fun but our feet were very sore with all the dancing. 💃
Today was the first day of Shared Education for Year 4. We met up with our friends from St Mary’s PS, Cloughcor and Bready Jubilee PS. We walked over to Artigarvan Hall to meet everyone. When we arrived we took part in several warm up games before we discovered what we would be doing over the next few weeks. We will be learning about three different genres of dance. We had Becki teaching us Highland dancing, Mr McCrystal taught us some Irish dancing and Melissa and Amber taught us some modern dance moves.
We will be showcasing our dances at the end, we hope our parents can come and enjoy.
