Well done to all of the Year 4 children who took part in the Pedestrian Safety training. The children went out on their walk on Wednesday and were under close observation as a member of the Road Safety team came to assess their learning. Gareth talked to the teachers afterwards and said how impressed he was by the children's knowledge of signs and their Green Cross Code practice. The children who took part in the scheme will receive certificates after half-term as a reward for all of their hard work.
Have a look at this website to remind you of the Green Cross Code steps.

We really enjoyed making our scarecrow. In class we had a vote to choose a name, Nasher had the most votes from the children! The council have now collected Nasher so keep a look out for him in the shop windows! Send us a picture if you spot him on his travels.
In Year 3 and 4 we are working extremely hard but we still manage to have lots of fun. In September we thought about the lovely holidays we went on over the summer and we have written a few of our favourite things in a "Summer Selfie". We built Lego and drew pictures to remind us of these wonderful memories. Have a look to see if you can spot your selfie!
In Year 3 and 4 our topic is called "Take a good look at the body". We have been busy naming the bones in our body and even the organs too! A new member has joined our class especially for this topic, his name is Skelly.
We made our own skeletons using art straws and crayons to create wax resistant pictures. All of the children are very proud of their efforts. The children really enjoyed learning the dancing bones song. You can find the words in one of the pictures or you can watch the video for yourself.
Keep moving those dancing bones!
A very mucky, funny, wet and adventurous day was had by year 4/5 and 6/7 in Extreme Adventure!! A day to remember for all of us !! :)
The children and staff had a fantastic day at Leisure Land, in Redcastle, for the Primary 1, 2 and 3/4 end of year school trip.
Today P2/3 had 2 ladies from Derry City & Strabane District Council doing a 'Bridges' workshop with them in class.
First they showed us lots of lovely pictures from the area in the council and we identified and discussed them.
There were lovely pictures of bridges - 7 large ones in this area in total - and the children shared their knowledge and experiences of the bridges.
Then as a team we worked together to build a bridge from cardboard and everyone's pole structure was taped together before a road way was put across the top.
And guess what!!?? We were all able to walk across the bridge - even Mrs Harper!!!
Struggling to think of a little something to give on Father's Day?? Why not have a look at what the Enterprise have made. Stocks are limited so first come first served! Items are priced at £5 each.
Hand made Father's Day cards are priced at £1 each....that's a bargain!!
Take a look at some pictures from our Sport's Day. What a great day of sporting achievement and most of all, fun was had by all.
