Merry Christmas from everyone in Year 6/7!
We hope you enjoy watching all our stars in P2/3. We have worked so hard this term and you can see what we have been doing in the last few weeks!
Happy Christmas from all the pupils and staff in P2/3!
Last week brought many fun and exciting activities. On Wednesday we were about to start our scavenger hunt when we heard bells ringing in the car park! It was Santa! We all loved having a wee chat with him and some of us got our photo taken. We then enjoyed our tasty gold coins that we all found. What an exciting break time!
Last week we arrived to school to find presents underneath our class Christmas tree! We excitedly opened them to discover we now have lots of new, fun games to play during golden time. What a lovely surprise!
Some of the games we received were Monopoly, hedbanz, 5 second rule, connect 4 and the old classic, snakes and ladders!
We enjoyed playing these games On Friday and can’t wait to play some more this week before we finish for Christmas!
Year 6/7 had great fun learning about coordinates. They had to use a google earth map of the school to complete tasks. They left items at certain points (using coordinates), recorded themselves singing songs at other locations and even solved a maths problem they found at a certain location. They worked exceptionally well within their groups and hopefully know all about coordinates now !😊
18 pupils in Year 6/7 reached their target in Accelerated Reading this term. Here they are receiving their prizes which included a ‘ homework pass ‘ from Mrs. Harper. A huge well done to everyone.
Our first word ‘millionaire’ of the 2020/21 school year ! Well done William !
The children were so excited to get their Christmas dinner in school today. Year 1/2 spent the morning listening to Christmas music and making party hats to wear to dinner.
It is always so exciting going to the canteen and sitting at the big yellow tables to eat lunch. The children enjoyed a lovely turkey dinner and a choc ice after. It was delicious!!
We wish it could be Christmas dinner everyday!
At break time, the children all embarked on a scavenger hunt! They were on the hunt for chocolate gold coins.
All 27 children did an amazing job and were able to find themselves a tasty coin - Anne and Miss Moore on the other hand are still looking!!
What a surprise we got at break time today! When we searched for our chocolate coins we could hear a bell....we couldn’t believe our eyes when we spotted Santa at the school gate. Well done to everyone who found a coin and a special mention to Mya who found the special coin with the sticker on it. Thank you to Mrs Harper for organising our coin hunt-we had so much fun.
