Well done to all our children who have been the Star of the week so far.
Last week we all wore our odd socks to school to support Anti-Bullying Week. We talked about how it is ok to be different and how each person is different in lots of different ways. We talked about how it doesn't matter if we don't like the same things and it is ok to like things different things to our friends. :)
Today we had our Big Bedtime Read that is linked to the Getting Ready to Learn Programme that we are involved in every year. The children arrived to Nursery in their pyjamas along with Mrs Preston and Yvonne. Today we had a special day as we had a break all together today and we pretended it was our supper. After our 'supper' we went into Storyland and had a magical time together. Mrs Preston read us a lovely story called Mouse's Christmas and we were all fantastic at listening and answering all her questions. Well done to all the boys & girls and I know you all had a very special day. I hope you enjoy your 1st story book pack when you get it on Monday.
As we draw closer to the end of what has been a particularly difficult year for all, Y1/2 would like to share a special song with you all. Hopefully you all enjoy it as much as we do ❤️
We sing this song in class to remind us that although sometimes things can be a little difficult, there is no need to worry because “every little thing, is going to be all right.” 🐥
Y1/2 were so happy to welcome Constable Lorraine to school today. She came in to talk to us about bullying and what we can do to stop it.
Our class know that bullying is bucket dipping and that’s not a nice thing to do. The children all know that if it ever happens to them, or if they ever see it happening to someone else, they must tell an adult.
The children asked fantastic questions and gave wonderful answers, Constable Lorraine was so impressed. ⭐️
Thank you very much to our local PSNI community team for your special visit.
We have recently finished the topic ‘Once Upon a Time’ with lots of book studies. For November and December our topic is ‘In the Toybox’.
We ended Anti-Bullying week with our odd socks day! Lots of great work this week in school to highlight how unique we are, what we can do to stamp out bullying in our school and how important it is to treat everyone with kindness and respect!
Well done boys and girls!
UNITED AGAINST BULLYING 2020
Well done to Eve, Y1/2 Star of the Week and Matthew, our Reader of the Week.
The children this week have been listening to stories and talking about bullying and what we can do to stop it.
In our class, we try really hard to be ‘bucket fillers’ by being kind, having manners, sharing with our friends and looking after everyone in our class.
Odd Sock Day reminds us that we are all unique and that is really something to celebrate!! ⭐️🌈
Today, Y1/2 had a fantastic first music lesson with Una from Musical Pathways.
They all tried so hard singing along and copying with the actions 😀
Miss Moore and Anne were so proud of how they all listened.
We are already so excited for next weeks lesson 🎼
