Today we welcomed members of the Baptist church who took us on an amazing journey. We got to meet characters from the Bible, listen to Bible stories and sample food from biblical times. We got an opportunity to dress in authentic costumes. Check out our photographs!
As it is World Maths Day on 25th March, Year 6/7 along with their teacher, Mrs Doherty (our Maths Coordinator) organised a MathsFest for the other classes in our school. Year 6/7 set up stations in our assembly hall with a different maths activity at each one. We are incredibly proud of our Year 6/7 pupils and how they adapted the activity to suit each age group. The pupils from each class spent five minutes at each station and each activity gave the children opportunities to experience a wide range of activities to foster problem-solving, mental calculation and logical thinking skills. Most importantly the children had the opportunity to see that maths is fun!

What a fun week of activities we’ve had in school! Mrs Kane launched the week off in assembly introducing a whole-school challenge where the children had to draw a character to match a specific description. In addition to our drawings, we have been reading with older children in school, ‘rocket readers’- listening to stories, making new friends and sharing new books together. On Thursday we enjoyed dressing up as a character or coming to school in our pyjamas. We took part in an online lesson which was lots of fun! For P.E we had a nursery rhyme hunt, searching for the clues all around school. In our assembly on Friday we celebrated the success of a super week!
