We are very fortunate to have the library van visit our school every two weeks. Children from Year 2-4 can borrow a book to read, what a special treat this is to go onto the van and choose a book. Here is a picture of our Year 2 children borrowing their first book from Denis.

We've been busy welcoming our new Year 1 children to school. The children have been familiarising themselves with the different classrooms, staff and knowing the names of the people who can help them in and around school. In class, they have been busy playing together. What a busy September it's been so far! Stay tuned for some further updates of our learning journey this year. 😊👍

Year 1 children had their first fun morning with Jo, singing songs, playing instruments and making links to our topic ‘ Out and about’.

We talked about how we are all different but equally as special. Today we wore odd socks to school to remind us that we are all unique. In class we created a growing garden, even though we grow in different ways we all grow together!

Off we went on our Spring walk around the village. We found daffodils, buds on trees, bird nests and baby lambs. After a successful walk we enjoyed a little play in the play park with our friends. A lovely day for sure!

We all had so much fun dressing up as adjectives today and showing off our creativity during our World Book Day parade.

In P.E we have been moving around like winter animals. We talked about how they would move and thought about if it would be up high or down low. After we tried out all of the animal movements we then created a sequence.
