Year 5 were kindly invited to Foyle College on Tuesday morning to take part in a carousel of activities. We made chocolate swizzles in home economics, played rugby and hockey in PE and learnt the parts of our body in Spanish class. We were also treated to a packet of sweets and a biscuit for break.
The children had a wonderful day at Glen Park Estate. Upon arrival we were greeted by staff and spent some time in the Den in the Glen soft play area where lots of fun was had! Next we boarded the tractor train for an enchanting ride through the forest. The children enjoyed their toasted marshmallows by the campfire. We boarded the tractor train again and this time we got to visit the many animals who live in the park. We were all ready for some delicious hot food in the restaurant- clean plates all around after all the fresh air! For our final activity we took part in a scavenger hunt. What an amazing day we had and the sun shone brightly just to top it off!
