This term our 2 topics are based around the farm and in the garden. We have had lots of exciting things happening over the last few weeks.
We have watched our sunflowers grow taller and taller each day. 🌻🌻 Some of them are growing slower than others but we are having patience.
We have watched 10 caterpillars grow, make cocoons and we have been able to watch as 9 of them have turned into butterflies. We even managed to watch 2 butterflies emerge from their cocoons. It was amazing to watch this transformation! 🐛➡️🦋 We will release them from the net into the world very soon.
We also have 12 hen eggs sitting in an incubator and we are hoping in 3 weeks time we will have some baby chicks. 🤞🏻
We have had fantastic learning opportunities with all of the new life and we are very excited to watch our eggs very carefully over the next few weeks.
Enjoy looking at our photos and keep coming back to see if we have any new friends arrive. 🐥🐥

There was lots of excitement in school this morning as we switched on as many devices as possible to help set a new Guinness world record “most viewers of a rolling numbers live stream”.
A few weeks ago Gill and Tom from TimesTables Rockstars 🎸 visited our school and filmed Mr Campbell’s class performing the special five times tables chant. The boys and girls were happy to see themselves on screen this morning and delighted that the new world record has been set at over 5000.
Today is National Numeracy Day and we are proud that our little school has been chosen to be part of this event…we would like to thank TimesTables Rockstars for involving our school. Keep rocking and rolling for National Numeracy Day 🎸

The Translink Safety Bus visited our school and the pupils in P6 and P7 had the opportunity to hear what Kevin and Paul from Translink had to say about keeping safe on the bus (and waiting for the bus). This was especially useful for children moving to secondary school in September who may not be familiar with travelling by bus. Thank you for visiting our school Translink!!
