The children took part in a live online art lesson inspired by Julia Donaldson’s iconic book, The Snail and the Whale. The children followed instructions and learned drawing techniques from an artist and created their very own masterpieces. Their work is currently on display in the assembly hall. What a talented class you are!
Brand new workshop alert!
Strive NI have created "Worry, Anger and Everything In-Between" as a workshop for parents who want to better understand and support their child’s big emotions.
They’ll explore why anxiety and anger can often show up together, what’s happening in a child’s brain during emotional overwhelm, and how to respond in ways that help children feel safe, understood and supported. You’ll leave with practical strategies you can use straight away to support worry and other big emotions at home.
As always a recording option is available if you can't attend live at the time:

Year 6 and 7 pupils had a brilliant day on Friday at an Ulster Hockey tournament in Foyle College. The pupils played some lovely hockey and made it to the semi-finals in both the boys and girls competition; but unfortunately just missed out on progressing to the finals in Stormont. Everyone had great fun and thankfully the weather stayed dry for most of the morning!

This week the pupils in Mr. Campbell’s class, were learning about floating and sinking as part of their topic work. We predicted if an item would float or sink. Some of the items sank and some of them floated. The last item we used was an orange, but it was very unusual as it floated with its peel still on but sank when it was peeled. Do you know why?
