This week we welcomed back our children into the classroom and such fun we had.  The children settled back in so quickly, remembering routines and adapting to life back with their friends.  We are so proud of the fantastic week they had, so we thought they deserved a little treat today.

We had a visit from our local ice-cream man, Mr Whippy, which brought a smile to everyone's face on a Friday morning. Big smiles all round!!

Thank you Mr Whippy

Can I begin by saying how proud we are of our nursery children the past 6 weeks. They were thrown into the world of remote learning and they have excelled themselves.
We are delighted with the dedication and commitment each family have shown to developing their child’s learning.
So well done to the children and also their parents.

Here is a short video to showcase the amazing work they have been getting up to.

Enjoy and thank you 🌟🌟

On Friday we had a very special visitor called Lorraine who is a member of the PSNI. Constable Lorraine came into Nursery to talk to us about lots of very important things.  She talked to us about how to cross the road safely and to remember the 3 very important words: Stop, Look and Listen.  She also talked to us about staying safe on our bicycles and helmets and how to do this: always wear a helmet and check your brakes!!

Finally Lorraine told us what to do if we get lost in a big shop or supermarket and that we need to always look out for someone who works there and is wearing a uniform.

Lorraine we thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to come and see all the boys and girls at our Nursery.

I had popped into Nursery today and thought it was only fair that all the boys and girls were able to see Barney's weekend with Mitchell.  This was such a long time ago but I thought I would share it with you as Barney is missing all the boys and girls so much. Mitchell and Barney had such a busy weekend that started with a trip to McDonalds for a happy meal.  Barney met Mitchell's 2 gorgeous dogs and he also got to listen to fantastic stories that we love in Nursery; The smartest Giant in Town and The Gruffalo. Barney and Mitchell has great fun at Donemana park playing on the swings, tunnels, bike and riding around on the John Deer Gator. They even had a visit from Mitchell's friend from nursery, Joe.

I would say both Barney and Mitchell were very tired after such a busy weekend. Thank you for all the fun Mitchell and I hope Barney gets a chance to see everyone very soon again.

Keep your eyes peeled, even Barney was staying safe!!!!! ;)

Lots of love; Barney & Mrs Preston

This week we had a very exciting few days as our Mummies and Daddies came to play in Nursery.  On Tuesday and Thursday we had a busy room and lots of happy children. The parents had the opportunity to have some valuable play time with their child and also had a chance to have a quick with Mrs Preston.

We hope you found this useful and also special to spend 1 hour with your child in their school environment. Sorry we didn't manage to get a photo of everyone but here are a few snaps we managed to capture.

In our school the children have many opportunities to play a range of musical instruments. Darren came to school to distribute certificates to children who have achieved awards in playing the chanter. Well done to all of the children for their hard work and dedication.
